晚上，她們買了一些糕點回房間吃。安妮於是打電話給前台說: 「May I have three forks?」

前台說: 「Our forks are free of charge」

安妮說: 「Thanks for offering forks free of charge. I want to have three forks. 」

前台說: 「No worry. Our forks are free of charge. How many forks do you need?」

安妮說: 「I need three forks」

前台說: 「Yes, we will give you free forks. How many forks do you need?」

安妮說: 「I need one, two, three forks.」

前台說: 「Sure, you need two free forks.」

安妮說: 「I need four forks」

前台說: 「Sure, we will bring you four free forks. Is there any other things you need?」

安妮說: 「No, thanks.」

三分鐘後，服務員送來了四枝叉。
